Deborah Estell, as a licensed marriage and family therapist since 2008, has an extensive background in working with a wide range of people, from families and young adults to young children. She brings to her work as a therapist, experience in not only building and repairing relationships, but also experience as teacher, instructor, university lecturer and school counselor. Affectionately known as ‘Lady Estell’, she is also radio co-host for KMEL’s Street Soldiers, and simply Ms. Estell to the hundreds of students she has worked with at San Francisco Unified School District, San Francisco State University and Alive & Free Omega Boys Club, for over 20 years. And she is the author of ‘My UnSpoken Heart’, an autobiographical collection of poetry that can be a “guide to get through life’s challenges”.
As a therapist, Deborah Estell uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, along with Sand Play and Play Therapy. However, based on the need and the goal, she is able to reach into her heart’s toolbox with Divine guidance, and access most effective tool to facilitate her clients in reaching their goal.
